ENcome goes from strength to strength and is ready for future growth

Amidst COVID-related process challenges, an on-going tendency for scope-adjusted price reductions and increasing service level requests by participants in the market for PV O&M services, in fiscal 2020 ENcome completed another successful year with significantly increased business volume regarding both nominal capacity under management and total revenues.

While approaching the 10th anniversary of starting its business activities in 2012, the ENcome Group managed to contract another 322 MWp of O&M services in 2020 alone. Altogether, ENcome now is responsible for PV plants with a nominal capacity of ca. 1.5 GWp and a total asset value of ca. € 2.5 billion. While all 11 countries that ENcome is active in contributed to this favourable result, Australia stands out with a triple digit growth in nominal PV capacity under management, solely utility scale.

On a net basis, ENcome is debt-free, thus providing full strategic flexibility and a strong balance sheet, i. e. when it comes to further growth. For four years now, ENcome performs its accounting on the basis of IFRS, the annual report is reviewed by a “big four” auditor. With the acquisition of the remaining shares in the French ENcome entity in 2020, all entities are 100% owned. “The house is clean, up to market and ready for future growth” comments Simon Russold, Head of Finance & Controlling.

“It is gratifying to see that the hard work of the entire ENcome team around the world pays off to the benefit of our clients and stakeholders – Every Watt Counts”, says Andreas Leimbach, CEO. “In 2020 we invested in an even greater extent of standardization of processes across functions and countries, for instance in monitoring, ticketing, scheduling, invoicing, reporting, and thereby achieved even higher degrees of efficiency” he adds. PV O&M, due to the combination of technical specialization, people-intensity and a variety of local regulations to be compliant with, is generally considered a scalable service type for high-value, long-term assets. “We are pleased to conclude yet another year of good performance continuing the good health & safety track record” says Sebastian Nieding, Head of Technical Operations.

“We have a highly competitive basis for further growth along and above the market growth in PV and O&M, internal and external, and recently decided to further step up in presenting the ENcome credentials to the market” says Christopher Berger, Head of Commercial Operations. This is also illustrated by the recent recruitment of Nico Hellmann as Head of Business Development who directly reports to Berger.
